On March 3, 2022 take a step back in time to 1944: Martha Graham and Aaron Copeland correspond by letter to create the American classic we know as Appalachian Spring.


Martha Graham Dance Company Artistic Director Janet Eilber and KHFM Executive and Program Director Brent Stevens read from the two creators’ correspondence that led to the genesis of “A Ballet for Martha,” as Copland initially titled the work.


Principal dancers from the company will attend this one-of-a kind program, which will include the reading of letters and the presentation of video footage
