Changing lives through the power of the performing arts
bravo!kids
artist master classes & matinee performances
Students from elementary through graduate school have the opportunity to interact and work closely with the world-renowned artists we present through master classes and interactive matinees. Bravo!Kids provides exposure, nurtures performance skills, and inspires excellence in youths pursuing artistic education — from beginners to emerging professionals. These concerts and collaborative events provide dynamic and captivating musical, dance, and theater experiences in Santa Fe’s schools and concert venues to over 2,000 students annually. During our 2019-2020 Season, nearly a dozen of our presented artists — more than ever before — will participate in the Bravo!Kids education program.
sostenuto
weekly artist teacher instruction
The Sostenuto Program supports the existing chorus, band, world music, orchestra, and guitar programs in the Santa Fe Public Schools by engaging professional musicians, who we call Artist Teachers, to work alongside the schools’ music directors as mentors, providing attentive evaluation and technical expertise to students. During our 2019-2020 Season, Sostenuto will provide 700 hours of mentoring while serving Aspen Community Magnet School, Capital High School, El Camino Real Academy, El Dorado Community School, Gonzales Community School, Mandela International Magnet School, Milagro Middle School, Nina Otero Community School, Ortiz Middle School, and Santa Fe High School.
We thank our very dedicated teachers: Cal Haines, percussion; Kat Keener, voice; Pat Malone, guitar; Suzy Reeder, woodwinds; Dominique Gallegos, strings; and Jerry Weimer, woodwinds.
sfps on stage
