Performance Santa Fe presents a very special recital by the extraordinary duo of violinist Christian Tetzlaff and pianist Lars Vogt. They will perform all three of Brahms‘ stirring sonatas for violin and piano, with a dash of Webern for good measure.

Vogt, who has played with major orchestras since his debut with Sir Simon Rattle at age 15, “offsets moodiness with lucidity and a subtle sense of drama” (The Guardian, UK), while Tetzlaff‘s enormous sound and dramatic range of tone and color are balanced by a vivid, penetrating musicality.”
“[Tetzlaff] can play with the widest variety of sound — meltingly beautiful and lyric, or drivingly rhythmic, sometimes hauntingly soft. It’s not just violin playing—he tells a story in every bar and brings the audience with him.”
Joseph Illick, General Director, Performance Santa Fe, after hearing Tetzlaff perform in Amsterdam

“Rarely is a musical conversation so perfectly matched and flawlessly executed….”ArtsATL
