Daniel Ulbricht, founder and director of Stars of American Ballet, was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, and began his dance training at the age of 11. At age 16, Mr. Ulbricht was invited by the School of American Ballet, the official school of New York City Ballet, to continue his training. In December 2000, he became an apprentice with New York City Ballet and in November 2001 he joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet. In January 2005, Mr. Ulbricht was promoted to the rank of soloist and principal dancer. During his time at New York City Ballet, he danced featured roles in a number of Balanchine, Robbins, Martins, Peck and Wheeldon ballets. Mr. Ulbricht also danced Tarantella at the 2004 Kennedy Center Honors to celebrate the Balanchine Centenary. Mr. Ulbricht is a guest teacher at the School of American Ballet, Ballet Academy East, and teaches at well-known national dance schools, private schools, and universities throughout the United States. Mr. Ulbricht is currently the Artistic Advisor of Manhattan Youth Ballet, Artistic Director of New York State Summer School for the Arts, a member of the board of the National Dance Institute, and a lecturer at Yale University. 

Megan Fairchild is a principal dancer with New York City Ballet. Ms. Fairchild was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and began her dance training at the age of four, studying with Judy Levitre and Kaelynne Oliphant at Dance Concepts in Sandy, Utah, and at the Ballet West Conservatory in Salt Lake City with Sharee Lane, Deborah Dobson, and Maureen Laird. Ms. Fairchild entered the School of American Ballet in the fall of 2000. In November 2001, Ms. Fairchild became an apprentice with New York City Ballet, and in October 2002 she joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet. Ms. Fairchild was promoted to the rank of soloist in February 2004, and in January 2005, she was promoted to principal dancer. 

Tyler Angle was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, and began his dance training at the age of nine with Deborah Anthony at the Allegheny Ballet Company. He entered the School of American Ballet in the fall of 2001. In the fall of 2003, Mr. Angle became an apprentice with New York City Ballet. As an apprentice, he danced a featured role in Michel Fokine’s Chopiniana, performed by SAB as part of New York City Ballet’s winter 2004 season. Mr. Angle joined New York City Ballet as a member of the corps de ballet in June 2004. He was promoted to the rank of soloist in December 2007 and in October 2009 was promoted to principal dancer. 

Indiana Woodward was born in Paris, France and began her dance training at the age of ten at the Yuri Grigoriev School of Ballet in Venice, California. Ms. Woodward began studying at the School of American Ballet during the 2010 summer course and enrolled as a full-time student that fall. In August 2012, she became an apprentice with New York City Ballet and joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet in December 2012. She has performed various works by Balanchine, Robbins, Peck, Wheeldon, and more. Ms. Woodward was promoted to soloist in February 2017 and promoted to principal in October 2021. 

Gonzalo Garcia is a principal dancer with New York City Ballet. Born in Zaragoza, Spain, Mr. Garcia began studying ballet at the age of eight at Maria Avila’s school. In 1995, he attended the summer session at San Francisco Ballet School. Following this session, Mr. Garcia participated in the Prix de Lausanne, becoming the youngest dancer to receive a gold medal. He then returned to the School to resume his studies and was selected by Helgi Tomasson, Artistic Director of San Francisco Ballet, to perform in a world premiere ballet created especially for the 1996 Spring Student Showcase. Mr. Garcia joined San Francisco Ballet as a member of the corps de ballet in March 1998. In 2000, he was promoted to soloist, and in 2002 to principal dancer. Mr. Garcia joined New York City Ballet in October 2007 as a principal dancer and is now a Repertory Director at New York City Ballet. 

Hee Seo was born in Seoul, South Korea and began her ballet training in her hometown at the Sun-hwa Arts Middle School. She was awarded a three-year full scholarship to continue her training at the Universal Ballet Academy in Washington, D. C. She is the recipient of the 2003 Prix de Lausanne Award and the 2003 Grand Prix at the Youth American Grand Prix in New York. Seo joined ABT Studio Company in 2004, the main Company as an apprentice in May 2005, and the corps de ballet in March 2006. Seo was appointed a soloist in August 2010 and a principal dancer in July 2012. 

Danielle Diniz competed with the dance studio In the Spotlight for many years, earning both regional and national titles and scholarships. She also trained at the Paper Mill Playhouse Musical Theater Conservatory and Lee Strasberg Theater/Film Institute. Upon graduating from Cornell University (B.A. in English and Theater, minor in Dance), she performed regionally in The Music Man, Young Frankenstein, The Addams Family, and Spamalot. She also has been featured in productions of My Fair Lady, National Pastime and Rocky Horror under the direction of Tony nominee Hunter Foster, with choreography by Waitress’s Lorin Latarro. She joined the Dirty Dancing national tour, understudying Baby, Lisa and Elizabeth and has been seen in other NYC workshops and on One Life to Live

Joseph Gatti was born in Warwick, New York and raised in Orlando, Florida where he began his training with Vadim Fedotov and Irina Depler. At the Youth America Grand Prix Ballet Competition in New York, he was awarded the Gold Medal and a Scholarship to the Royal Ballet School in London. In 2005 Joseph became the first American male dancer to win the prestigious Gold Medal at the New York International Ballet Competition. In 2013 he was presented with the Mr. Virtuosity Award and 2014 Best Pas De Duex award at the Dance Open Ballet Festival in Saint Petersburg, Russia. He now performs as an International Guest Artist and is also a teacher with the Orlando Ballet School when he is not traveling the world as a guest dancer with renowned professional companies. 

Sara Adams was born in Dennis, Massachusetts, and began her dance training at the age of six at the Mid-Cape Ballet Academy. She later studied at the Boston Ballet School, before taking a summer course at the School of American Ballet during the summer of 2003. She enrolled as a full-time student at SAB from 2003 to 2008. She became an apprentice with NYCB in June 2008 and became a member of the corps de ballet in September 2009. In February 2017, Ms. Adams was promoted to soloist. 

Cainan Weber is a member of New York City Ballet’s corps de ballet. He was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and began his ballet training at age five at Repertory Dance Theatre‘s Repertory Ballet Academy in Emmaus, Pennsylvania with Jennifer Haltzman Tracy and Trinette Singleton. Mr. Weber attended summer programs at the School of American Ballet, from 2014-2016 before enrolling full-time for the 2016 winter term. He became an apprentice with NYCB in January 2019. As an apprentice, Mr. Weber performed featured roles in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® (Candy Cane, Tea, Soldier) and originated a corps de ballet role in Lauren Lovette’s The Shaded Line

Quinn Starner was born in Lambertville, Michigan, where she began her training at the age of seven at Viva Dance Company with Nichole Blanke in Monroe, Michigan. She received additional training at Toledo Ballet, with Lisa Mayer and Michael Lang, and Company C, with Jessica Brutlag and Cathi Feeny, in Toledo, Ohio, and Indiana Ballet Conservatory with Alyona Yakovleva, Tatiana Pali, and Sergey Sergiev in Carmel, Indiana. Ms. Starner attended summer programs at the School of American Ballet in 2015 and 2018 before enrolling full-time for the 2018 winter term. Ms. Starner became an apprentice with NYCB in August 2021 and joined the corps de ballet in March 2022. 

Zoey Anderson was born and raised in Utah, where she trained in contemporary, ballet, jazz, and ballroom dance at Center Stage. She was the ballroom national smooth champion in 2010. Zoey graduated cum laude from Marymount Manhattan College in 2015 with a BFA in Ballet under the direction of Katie Langan. In 2013, Zoey performed with Nikolais Louis in the Yang Liping International Dance Festival in Kunming, China. Other credits include the Broadway premiere gala of On the Town, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Dancing With The Stars webisodes, and Macy’s Passport Tour with P. Diddy. In 2018, Zoey was nominated for the Outstanding Performer Bessie award for her sustained achievement in Parsons Dance. In 2019, she received the prestigious Clive Barnes Dance Artist Award. 

Chase Swatosh grew up in Westlake Village, California and began his dance training at Retter’s Academy of Dance with Darryl and Linda Retter when he was eight years old. In 2007, he became a trainee at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City, where he trained for two years before attending the summer and winter terms of the School of American Ballet. Swatosh has a diversified dance background, having trained in tap, jazz, contemporary, musical theater and modern. He was a Junior Olympic swimmer, an All-American qualifying diver in high school and an awarded classically trained pianist. Swatosh joined Miami City Ballet as an apprentice in 2010 and was promoted to principal soloist in 2019. 

Tricia Albertson was born in Newburgh, NY, and raised in Santa Cruz, CA. She began her ballet training at The Studio School of Classical Ballet with Vicki Bergland and Rebecca Bartlow. Starting in 1995, she attended School of American Ballet as a full-time student for two years, and in 1997 she joined Miami City Ballet as a Coryphée. In 2001 she was promoted to Soloist, in 2005 she was promoted to Principal Soloist, and in 2006 she was promoted to Principal dancer. Celebrating her 25th season with Miami City Ballet, Albertson has had the privilege to dance most of the corps, soloist, and principal roles in the company’s repertoire. 

Lars Nelson was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and began his dance training at the age of 11 at the Grand Rapids Ballet Company. Having studied privately under School of American Ballet alumni Jefferson Baum for two years, he began studying at the SAB during the 2006 summer course and enrolled as a full-time student in the fall of 2007. In August of 2010, Mr. Nelson became an apprentice with NYCB and the following August, he joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet. 

Mckenzie Bernardino Soares is 19 years old and a member of New York City Ballet’s corps de ballet. Born in Danbury, Connecticut, he began his dance training at the age of four at the Academy of Dance Arts in Brookfield, Connecticut. At the age of six, he began studying ballet at the School of American Ballet. As a student at SAB, he performed in George Balanchine’s Harlequinade and The Nutcracker, and Peter Martins’ Romeo + Juliet. Mr. Soares became an apprentice with NYCB in August 2021 and joined the corps de ballet in May 2022. 

Shelby Mann is an apprentice with the New York City Ballet. She was born in New York City, where she began studying ballet at the age of six at the School of American Ballet, the official school of New York City Ballet. As a SAB student, she performed in George Balanchine’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Harlequinade, Coppélia, Mozartiana, The Nutcracker, and Peter Martins’ The Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake. Ms. Mann became an apprentice with NYCB in December 2021 and is continuing her apprentice year. 

Elaine Chelton has performed at Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, Denmark, Paris, Russia, Hong Kong, and Japan as a piano soloist for the New York City Ballet. She has premiered new ballets by Eliot Feld, Boris Eifman, Liam Scarlett, and Robert Binet and has worked with Alexi Ratmansky, Christopher Wheeldon, and Susan Stroman. She studied piano with Zenon Fishbein, Morey Ritt, and Leon Pommers, and composition with Hugo Weisgall. She composed the music for God’s Country, which was an official selection of the New York Musical Theater Festival in 2013. She was honored with the John Castellini Silver Jubilee Award from Queens College, her alma mater, and is a recipient of an Anna Sosenko Grant and a member of the Dramatists Guild. 

Nick Danielson, violin, enjoys a distinguished career as both a classical and tango musician. He is featured in Stravinsky’s Concertino on Orpheus chamber Orchestra’s Grammy winning Shadow Dances. He is also featured in two Latín GRAMMY award winning recordings; Vital, with pianist Fernando Otero, and Vigor Tanguero, with Petro Giraudo Tango Quartet. Among his many collaborations, Nick performs in a duo with bandoneón legend Daniel Binelli, with whom he received two consecutive Latín GRAMMY Nominations for their albums Nostagias and Marrón y Azul. Nick is also the Assistant Concertmaster at New York City Ballet. He received his training at the Curtis Institute of Music with the legendary Ivan Galamian.
