Singing the role of Dorabella in Così fan tutte at the Santa Fe Opera this summer, rising opera star Emily D’Angelo kicks off Performance Santa Fe’s Festival of Song. At just 24, mezzo-soprano Emily D’Angelo is already taking the opera world by storm with win-after-win at some of the most prestigious vocal competitions in the world and a voice that critics are hailing as “glowing” (Opera News), “sublime” (New York Times), and “arrestingly vulnerable” (The New York Times). Nate Raskin will accompany D’Angelo at piano.

Courtesy of the Santa Fe Opera, Susanne Mentzer and Rod Gilfry—both two-time Grammy nominees—will perform together in intimate recital during Performance Santa Fe’s Festival of Song. With a career spanning over 30 years, the “vibrant” (Chicago Tribune) mezzo-soprano Susanne Mentzer has performed with the world’s greatest opera houses and orchestras. She joins in recital the “full-voiced, superb” (Opera News) baritone Rod Gilfry, who will perform the role of Don Alfonso in the Santa Fe Opera’s production of Così fan tutte this summer. Robert Tweeten will accompany Mentzer and Gilfry at piano.
