Performance Santa Fe partners with the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival to co-present the Dover Quartet with Edgar Meyer!
The sensational Dover Quartet’s rise from a young, up-and-coming string ensemble to one of the most in-demand quartet’s in the world has been described as “practically meteoric” (Strings Magazine). Entering the international spotlight after sweeping the 2013 Banff Awards, the Quartet has since proven their status as “the next Guarneri String Quartet” (Chicago Tribune), most recently winning the Cleveland Quartet Award as well as the Avery Fisher Career Grant.
The Quartet will be returning to Santa Fe after a stunning summer performance at the Santa Fe Chamber Musical Festival, this time accompanied by legendary bass player Edgar Meyer.
Hailed by the New Yorker as “the most remarkable virtuoso in the relatively un-chronicled history of his instrument,” Meyer is known for his impeccable technique and compositions as well as his partnerships with virtuoso artists such as Chris Thile, Joshua Bell, and Yo-Yo Ma, to name a few.
