Performance Santa Fe presents the Havana Cuba All-Stars!
After a joyously-received debut two years ago, the Havana Cuba All-Stars are returning to Santa Fe with a brand new program: Asere, meaning Friendship. This new tour continues the ensemble’s mission of promoting Cuba’s rich cultural legacy through the infectious rhythms of Cuban Son—the base of modern salsa and Cuba’s dominant genre of music and dance—with fresh sounds rooted in the rhumba, cha cha chá, mambo, habanera, and guaguanco. This time, Cuba’s most “brilliant” (The Berkshire Eagle) musicians are teaming up with expert dancers for a spirited display of song and dance. Get ready to be transported from the Lensic auditorium to a sultry, Cuban ballroom!
