Performance Santa Fe presents the Shanghai Acrobats of the People’s Republic of China.

Founded in 1959, the Shanghai Acrobats has become one of China’s premier acrobatic troupes, often winning medals at international circus festivals. The company, which includes trampoline artists, aerial acrobats, jugglers, contortionists, and martial artists, features stunning costumes, hair-raising feats of strength and balance, and awe-inspiring stunts. The company has collaborated with Cirque du Soleil, Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey in recent years. They come to Santa Fe to showcase their newest production, Shanghai Nights!, which celebrates the rich and varied culture and the frenetic pace of life in China’s largest city.
