It’s a tradition! Stars of American Ballet return to Santa Fe for the 7th consecutive summer!
Performance Santa Fe is proud to offer our community two exceptional evenings with Stars of American Ballet, a world-class dance company that features elite principals from New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theatre, for the 7th year in a row. Following tradition, the “intoxicating” (Pittsburg Tribune) ballet company will perform two exhilarating programs on two consecutive evenings at the Lensic—this year, on August 9 and 10.
Daniel Ulbricht, a “brilliant” (Dance Magazine) principal dancer from the New York City Ballet, founded Stars of American Ballet in 2008 by recruiting the best of his fellow NYCB principals. The company has garnered critical acclaim by traveling the U.S. with the mission of not only exposing diverse choreography and top dancers to cities that rarely host ballet performances, but also offering a range of educational opportunities to students.
In keeping with previous years, Performance Santa Fe has scheduled a master class with Daniel Ulbricht at NDI on Monday, August 7, from 5:30-7:00 pm. While only intermediate to advanced dance students may participate, the public is welcome to watch.
