Performance Santa Fe begins its 82nd Season with the Stars of American Ballet!
Performance Santa Fe is thrilled to present two amazing evenings with the Stars of American Ballet, a world-class dance company that features elite principals from New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theatre, for the 8th year in a row. In keeping with years past, the “stunning” (Santa Fe New Mexican) ballet company will perform two distinct programs on two consecutive evenings—this on August 3 and 4—accompanied by live music on piano and cello.
Daniel Ulbricht, a “brilliant” (Dance Magazine) principal dancer from the New York City Ballet, founded Stars of American Ballet in 2008 by recruiting the best of his fellow NYCB principals. The company has garnered critical acclaim by traveling the U.S. with the mission of not only exposing diverse choreography and top dancers to cities that rarely host ballet performances, but also offering a range of educational opportunities to students.
In keeping with previous years, Performance Santa Fe has scheduled a master class with Daniel Ulbricht at NDI on Wednesday, August 1, from 5:30-7:00 pm. While only intermediate to advanced dance students may participate, the public is welcome to watch.
