A prolific trio with boundless energy and impeccable artistry!
Always pushing the interactive possibilities of string instruments, the American trio–violinist Zachary DePue, violinist Nicolas Kendall, and double-bassist Ranaan Meyer–is continuously celebrated for its “staggering technique and freewheeling genre-crossing” (National Public Radio) as well as its rare blend of “spontaneity and precision” (The Wall Street Journal). Whether playing the classical scores of Bach, performing their own arrangements of blue-grass and folk music, or sharing their electrifying mash-ups of contemporary hits, Time for Three brings an “infectious joy” (Sir Simon Rattle) that leaves its audience dazzled.
Since first meeting as fellow students at the Curtis Institute of Music, the members of Time for Three have performed to much acclaim across the nation, from Carnegie Hall to NFL games, and have collaborated with artists such as jazz-saxophone icon Branford Marsalis and pop singer-songwriter Joshua Radin. Their first album, Three Fervent Travelers, debuted in the top 10 charts of Billboard, Amazon, and iTunes, remaining in the top 10 of the Billboard Crossover chart for over 10 months.
Program to be announced from stage.
