Bassist Michael Burt relocated to New Mexico in 2016. Before beginning as a Teaching Artist with PSF in 2022, he was already working as a performer/educator/clinician/conductor/private instructor for Los Alamos Public Schools, St. Michael’s High School, El Dorado Community School, and New Mexico School of the Arts. Burt has worked as a bassist in the award-winning Starlight Orchestra Big Band in his home state of Virginia, and has played bass in several Broadway shows including the first national tour of Miss Saigon, and the 50th anniversary of OKLAHOMA! The Musical.
