Conductor and arts educator Oliver Prezant has presented lectures and education programs for the Santa Fe Opera, Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, and the Guilds of the San Francisco Opera, as well as programs on art and music for the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum and the Albuquerque Museum of Art. Recent programs include Discovering the Music of Paintings and Discovering the Music of Bach at Strata Gallery in Santa Fe. He was the music director and conductor of the Santa Fe Community Orchestra for twenty years, where he worked with New Mexico composers, soloists, choristers, public school students, creative artists, and partner organizations to present innovative concerts and education programs. Oliver was one of the founding teaching artists in Partners in Education’s ArtWorks Program, which provides arts education workshops for Santa Fe Public Schools. He was an assistant professor in the Contemporary Music Program at the College of Santa Fe and was on the faculty of Santa Fe University of Art and Design. His unique presentations have helped thousands of music lovers, community musicians, students, teachers, and museum patrons deepen their appreciation and enjoyment of music and the arts.
