Field Trip Series

This program provides local students, including every 5th and 6th grader in the Santa Fe public school district, with the opportunity to experience student matinee performances from our extraordinary lineup of international performing artists.  Performance Santa Fe offers these interactive matinees to thousands of students at various venues across Santa Fe throughout the year.  For many students, these Field Trip Series matinees are their only encounter with the performing arts, and serve as an introduction to the world of live performance.  Resource materials for teachers are available upon request to help make the experience for students as meaningful as possible.

Please contact Education & Administration Coordinator Alice Norris to bring this program to life for your classroom: alice@performancesantafe.org or 505 984 8759.

Covid-19 Update

In light of social distancing efforts, we are now offering students across New Mexico free access to the virtual performances on PSF@Home and a new “docuseries” through JazzReach.

Offering virtual field trips helps us serve, engage, inform, and inspire students, educators, and families as we continue to navigate the many challenges of the remote learning experience.

PSF@Home

We are now offering students across New Mexico free access to the virtual performances on our digital season PSF@Home. We are also creating custom curricular materials for these digital performances so that students can get the most out of the experience.

JazzReach

This Fall marks the beginning of our producing partnership with JazzReach, a nationally recognized organization dedicated to the promotion, performance, creation, and teaching of jazz music. Through this new Field Trip Series offering, we are thrilled to provide a 13-part original online “docuseries” to thousands of students all across New Mexico. This new digital series for young audiences will aim to illuminate many of the modern and historical facets of jazz music that make it such a compelling and uniquely American art form.
