Join Performance Santa Fe for an evening of scintillating guitar playing with Ana Vidović!
This Croatian virtuoso guitarist began playing at 5 years old at the encouragement of her brother. Since then, Ana Vidović has released 6 CDs, won numerous competitions, earned a degree at Peabody conservatory, and more. Gramophone magazine has remarked on her “extraordinary dexterity,” and The New York Times has called her “thrilling.” The Washington Post lauded her “virtually immaculate” playing: “This was no mere virtuosic display. Vidović’s playing is nuanced and intensely personal, both deeply felt and deeply thought.”
Vidović is presented by Performance Santa Fe in conjunction with the New Mexico Museum of Art’s exhibition, Medieval to Metal: The Art & Evolution of the Guitar (on display February 5 – May 1, 2016), and will perform at the museum’s resident venue, the St. Francis Auditorium. You’re sure to enjoy this intimate evening of astonishing virtuosity and heartfelt beauty.
